Dude, I know your probably asleep but I just finished playing Crownstone Puzzles and I can't even sleep now, my brain is still buzzing. Remember that guy who told me it was like, a strategy combat game? He said you hire soldiers with gold and fight stuff? LOL. That explanation was so off it's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings." Technically true, but totally misses the point.
Honestly, I spent the first stage trying to figure out how to deploy my 'Scout Units' and 'Heavy Brawlers' and all I had were these weird glowing tiles and a 'Charge Conduit' that just sat there. I was so confused! Then I realized the 'enemies' weren't even enemies. They were just these 'Void Spikes' that needed a specific energy pulse to deactivate. And the 'gold'? It was just 'Spark Dust' you used to activate the main Crownstone! Like, you're not fighting, you're *solving* how to get the Spark Dust to the Crownstone to create the pulse to clear the Void Spikes. It's like a super clever circuit board puzzle, but with pretty lights and cool sounds.
You know I usually hate those brainy puzzle games, but this one is different. It's so satisfying when you finally figure out the sequence. There was this one part, stage 3 I think, where you had to use a 'Reflector Shard' to bounce the energy beam around a corner to hit a 'Relay Orb', but only after you'd powered up the 'Resonance Crystal' with three Spark Dusts. I must have tried it like twenty times. Then it just clicked! And the sound it makes when everything connects and the Void Spikes just fizzle out? *Chef's kiss*.
I looked up and it was 1 AM, I swear I only meant to play for an hour. Even at work today I was thinking about that one puzzle on stage 4, how I could have done it faster. It's just really, really clever how they did it. It's not about being fast or strong, it's about being smart. I already told my cousin Mark about it, you gotta check it out. It's just fun.
