WW2 Frontline Blitz
About WW2 Frontline Blitz
Dude I can't sleep. It's like 11 PM and I'm still thinking about that WW2 game, Frontline Blitz. Remember when I told you about that description someone sent me? Like, "idle war strategy game," "command machine gunners defending the frontline wall," blah blah blah. Honestly, that explanation is so wrong it's like describing a rollercoaster as "a metal track with seats." Technically true, but completely misses the point.
I started playing it tonight, thinking it'd be some boring clicker thing, you know? But holy crap, it's not idle *at all*. The first time I played, I thought I had it figured out, just upgrading my main machine gun. Then suddenly, these "heavy troopers" (that's what I call 'em, they're like big, slow guys but super tough) started pouring in with the regular grunts, and my wall was almost gone in like five seconds. I panicked! Had to hit the artillery strike just in time, and it felt so good watching them all explode.
That's the thing, it's not just "defending against waves." It's like, a constant scramble. Your machine gunners are just *blasting*, and you're trying to figure out if you should save your cash for a big tower upgrade or hit the speed boost to clear the current wave faster. I figured out that if you wait to use the "double income" bonus until you've got a huge pile of money from a boss wave, your cash just explodes, and that changes everything for the next few stages. It's really clever how they did that.
I'm not usually into these types of games, but this one just grabs you. I looked at the clock and it was almost 1 AM, thought it was like 10:30. The sound of the machine guns just going off, getting faster as you upgrade them, is so satisfying. And there's these little "grenadier" guys that glow red before they toss a grenade, and you have to decide if you want to use an artillery strike to get them or just let your guys try to shoot them down. It’s like a super intense arcade game mixed with a puzzle, but with explosions.
I already told my cousin Mark about it, he's gonna love it. You should seriously check it out. It's fun. Really, really fun. And not boring like other games that just make you wait. Your actually making decisions all the time.
